Councillor Nigel Sherwood, cabinet member for highways and neighbourhoods, said: "There are plans in place to send the gritters out again when it throughout the day.
"We are really geared up and fully prepared for the snow.
"The gritters will be ready to go out as and when they need to.
"The communities and parishes have community workers who do quite a bit of gritting.
"We always grit the main routes.
"We provided about two tonnes of salt to all the parishes and we have also provided extra salt bins.
"As an authority, we replenished all the salt for the parishes that needed and wanted it."
