The Lincolnshire Co-operative is planning to expand its retail network in North Lincolnshire with major investments in the Isle.

The society, which has more than 22,000 dividend-sharing members in the region, is currently seeking approval to build on the site of former houses in Johnson's Lane, Crowle.

The new store, which would trade from 7am until 10pm seven days a week, would create 14 new full-time and part-time jobs.

If the plan is given the thumbs-up by North Lincolnshire Council, it is hoped to start work on the site in spring 2013 with a view to start trading later in the year.
