15 Hours FREE Funded Childcare!
Nationally and across all local authorities, children aged between 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours free learning and childcare per week. This enetitlement is for 38 weeks of the year and begins the term after your child's 3rd Birthday. This entitlement is often referred to as Nursery Education Funding or some people may even refer to it as Free Early Education Entitlement.
As most Nurseries are seen as being for play the benefits of sending your child there are completey undervalued. Your child will develop massively in relation to creating, communicating, confidence and they will be able to explore in a safe environment under the supervision of childcare professionals and specialists. This means that you have all this time to work, attend courses or just purely relax in the silence of your own home! Also, it is a known fact that children who have attended Nursery have a better transition into school as they are more confident when it comes to interacting and socialising with other adults and children.

To arrange this free funding you need to ensure that you find all the Nurseries in your area which offer this entitlement. Arrange a visit with a few Nurseries to determine which of those Nurseries provides the right environment for your child. After you have chosen the correct one approach them and they will complete the form which ensures that you will have the free entitlement and also means that they will confirm your childs place within that setting.
