Everyone inside was evacuated while firefighters established the cause for the alarm to have been activated.
It was discovered that a football had hit a beam detector in the sports hall, causing the alarm to sound.

After roughly 10 minutes outside people were allowed back in, once firefighters had reset the alarm.
The centre is operated by North Lincolnshire Council.
This was not the first mass evacuation of the premises due to the alarm sounding - a memorable one happened on a bank holiday last year.
