£50,000 dementia care boost
DEMENTIA care in North Lincolnshire is set to undergo a £50,000 shake-up.
Under the new Dementia Services Collaborative, GPs and staff from community health services, hospitals and social services will join forces with the voluntary and independent sector to make it easier for people with dementia to get help.

A national restructuring process is currently underway and locally around £22,000 has been given by North Lincolnshire Council, through the Fresh Start scheme. This has been matched by the Alzheimer's Society, to raise an investment of around £50,000.
This cash will be used to fund the local reshuffle and create the first regional Alzheimer's Support Service.
Sarah Moody, locality manager for the East Riding and Humber region, said: "We are having a restructure so that we can become a locality – joining forces with Hull, East Riding, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
"We have got a little bit of funding from North Lincolnshire Council as part of FreshStart. "We have managed to match that investment with the infrastructure side and manager support to the tune of £50,000.
"We are trying to find some new accommodation. Currently we are looking at Barton – we want to be somewhere central because all our services are outreach.
"The national restructure will make us more business minded – there are less resources so we have to be clever with the resources we have."
