£30,000 cash grants for groups from Barnetby to Scunthorpe approved by North Lincolnshire councillors

MORE than £30,000 in community grant funding has been handed out by North Lincolnshire Council.

Barnetby Village Hall was awarded £22,000 for refurbishment of the kitchen, while Barton Town Band picked up £5,000 towards the cost of equipment.

Barnetby Central Bowls Club has been awarded £1,220.40 towards the cost of perimeter fencing for the car park, and the 2nd Crosby Brownies received £1,040.40 towards premises and minibus costs.

The final groups to be given funding were the 2nd Scunthorpe Sea Scouts, which was handed £1,000 towards the costs of rent and utilities, the Scunthorpe Renaissance Town Team, which was given £500 towards the cost of IT equipment, and the 5th Scunthorpe Rainbows, which received £149 towards premises hire.
