Up to 5cm of snow predicted for Scunthorpe area by Met Office weather forecasters
The latest Met Office forecasts say snow showers will start to fall in North Lincolnshire this afternoon (January 18, 2013) and through into the night - with predictions of between 2cm and 5cm of snow set to fall.
The Met Office say these snow showers will hit the region in the middle of this afternoon and will continue through to the evening and overnight.
Yorkshire and the Humber is currently on a yellow warning, which means there is the possibility of a risk of snow.
A Met Office spokesman said: "It is likely we will see snow showers starting mid-afternoon, but they will not be as heavy as those seen on Monday.
"We can expect to see between 2 and 5cm of snow falling.
"We will see showers moving in off the North Sea and a band of snow moving in from the west.
"There will be a fair few showers moving into the evening and continuing overnight."
