98-year-old woman has handbag stolen in broad daylight
A 98-year-old woman has been robbed of her handbag and walking stick in broad daylight.
The elderley lady, who did not suffer any serious injuries, was approached by a woman who is alleged to have pushed her before taking the handbag, which contained her walking stick.
The woman was travelling on a scooter in the Old Crosby area of Scunthorpe at 2pm today, near the BMW garage.
Officers located the stolen handbag in the 10ft that runs between Old Crosby and Sheffield Street, shortly after the robbery happened.

The offender is described as a white 5ft 8ins woman of slim build, with straight blonde hair, a patterned knee-length skirt and a knee-length blue coat.
Detective Inspector John Symes from Humberside Police said: "It is important that anyone who may have
witnessed this despicable offence, comes forward and calls police as
a matter of urgency.
"The offender is believed to have been pushing a pushchair at the time of
the incident and I am certain that somebody may have witnessed what
happened to this elderly lady, who is lucky not to have sustained any serious
injuries.
