SCUNTHORPE United manager Ian Baraclough was left to rue his side's decision making after a 2-1 loss at home to Watford.

The Iron hit the front thanks to Martyn Woolford's 61st minute strike, but, in a game with two floodlight failure-related stoppages, Danny Graham equalised for the visitors three minutes later, with Matt Whichelow sealing the win for the Hornets with four minutes left.

    “Put down the glasses,
    the race is run,
    we've sat on our a*ses
    its back to league 1.
There is a distinct feeling that our run of championship playing has come to an end. Before the season started I made a post doubting that replacing Hooper and Hayes with Lge 1 and 2 players was going to work, but, I hoped that Nige had seen something in these guys that could unearth another Billy Sharp or Martin Patterson. Alas Nige has gone and Bara just isn't up to the task.
Unless there are some shrewd January Transfers I fear that we are Gone. It was nice while it lasted. Still UTI”

“We're all rueing poor decision making.....the decision to replace class with League 2 dross, the decision to have Forte as our main striker, the decision to appoint the cheap option when Adkins left and the decision to fail to invest in the club. Looking forward to Murphy, Byrne, Togwell, etc giving us the same old rubbish in the ET this week. Less than 4000 Iron fans at the game...how many for the next league match? Not me, I don't spend £20 to come home cold and miserable every home match. I've had enough. My money will go on something enjoyable instead and with VAT/fuel increases biting budgets I'll not be alone in staying away.”

“Let's have a sweepstake on who says what next week. I go for Joe Murphy to say things like "We have to do better", "we will be fired up next time", "We wont let that happen again" etc etc”

“I'm sure Barra is right, better team, maybe! but results-wise so what? Apparently at Doncaster we were in 'control' too - which meant a 3-0 defeat.
Barra has been dealt a very poor hand, and he has to work with what he can - Forte a hard worker, never say die striker with pace and aerial ability who will score maybe 8 goals a season ´- Dagnall a really unpleasant guy for the opposition who will work all day and get maybe 8 goals this year too - Collins, sure he has skill but he can't even get In Huddersfield's team!, or McNulty more time injured than fit .................. instead of Hooper who will score 20 to 30 goals, or Hayes who score or create another 20+ or McCann who will be involved in 15-20 goals, or what about a left footed full-back like Williams?
    Amateur, awful, and abject”

“poor decision making? does he mean the decision to replace Hooper, Hayes, Sparrow, McCann, & Williams with Forte, Grant, Collins, & play one game McDonald?”
