AUDIO: Game plan gave Iron edge over Swansea City says manager
MANAGER Ian Baraclough praised his Scunthorpe United players for sticking to the game plan as they defeated high-flying Swansea City at Glanford Park.
Joe Garner's second-half penalty - a decision which upset Swans boss Brendan Rodgers - saw the Iron edge a nervy contest and moved them to within a point of fourth bottom Crystal Palace.

“To be fair, I don't think the ref was as bad as people are making out. He warned a couple of players and gave them a chance to calm down before booking them, then he spoke to togwell and told him, as captain, to calm his players. Not his fault they kept flying in. Garner was looking for the foul but it was still a clear foul, and the only thing he got wrong for me was booking gordon for diving.”

“He's hardly going to say anything else though Brian. Flying up, very confident, expected 3 points, it's only Scunthorpe, and then LOSE. Has to blame something or somebody or both.
I could use to this centre forward, who knows how and where to go down, then gets up and puts the penalty away.”

“Rodgers, you talk like a twirp, the pitch was not in too bad condition, and your team played some very good passing football on it. Secondly it was a clear cut penalty and I had a good view of it probably half the distance as Rodgers was from it.
And as for Swansea not getting the rub of the green he is a very silly bad loser of a guy, the ref made many errors, and 75% of these went against us, and as for the six yellow cards, I can only remember "one" being given for a foul, and at least 4 of the others were not yellow card material.
So take your defeat Rodgers, and stop bleating like a spoiled child.
