SCUNTHORPE United manager Alan Knill was unimpressed by a poor defensive display from his side during the 5-1 loss to Nottingham Forest.

Two apiece from Kris Boyd and Luke Chambers, and one from Paul Anderson, condemned the Iron to defeat, with Michael O'Connor's penalty proving a mere consolation.

“Ha ha ha Mr.Motivator you have got to be joking mate,i can't see any club in league 1 or the championship getting excited about the 17 losers in your squad.Better get used to looking forward to playing the likes of those under achieving clubs like Sheffield United and Wednesday for a while longer, even he admitted it's going to be a huge job,no quick fixes eh?.”

“At least we have a new season/blank canvass for Mr Knill to start with. Hopefully he will make his mark on the squad with a clearout in the summer followed by some rigorous pre-season training regime”

“So ends our most disappointing season for many years ... going down without a fight, in fact hardly a whimper ! The only mystery is how did this bunch of misfits & non-tryers ever manage to beat QPR ????”

    “That was an absolute disgrace!
    SELL THE LOT OF THEM.
Bring in a load of 17 year olds, at least they will show a bit of gile and determination.
What a waste of money for my season ticket, this was supposed to be our year to consolidate in the Champoinship but now we are just a laughing stock.
Disappointing doesn't describe how we feel, more like disgust and despise.
I fear that unless Mr Knill, the poor soul can pull off a miracle in the summer then our golden perion is well and truly over.”
