Alarm raised after reports of smoke inside Scunthorpe town centre library
The central library in Scunthorpe was closed this morning after staff smelt smoke inside the building and raised the alarm.
Crews from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service were called to attend just after 9am today.
A North Lincolnshire Council spokesman said: "No flames were found by fire fighters but experts are now on site to investigate the electrical supply where the smoke was thought to have been found."
The library has since reopened.
