Amber weather 'be prepared' for snow warning issued across Scunthorpe district
The Met Office has issued an amber "be prepared" warning for Yorkshire and the Humber on Friday, January 18.
Snow is now expected to hit the region on Friday morning and will become steady through to the afternoon.

Tomorrow (Thursday, January 17), will remain dry, but cold.
A spokeswoman for the Met Office said: ""By Friday morning, it will be cold and windy.

"There will be snow flurries around first thing into the morning, with one or two snow flurries around.
"Into the afternoon, we will start to see the snow coming through, from lunch onwards.
"There will be steady snow Friday afternoon and by the end of the day, we could be looking at 5cm of snow at low levels and up to 10cm in the hills."
