THIEVES who were disturbed during a raid on a supermarket ran away empty-handed.

A pair of intruders were caught in the warehouse at Asda on Burringham Road Scunthorpe, with a 'large' amount of clothing.

They had broken into the compound and gathered up the goods but fled when they were discovered.

The offence took place at around 6.30pm on November 27.

Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious, or has information about the break-in, to contact them.

Anyone who can help with the investigation is urged to contact police on 0845 60 60 222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
