Author J.E. Christer promotes new book Ellie in home town Barton
A Barton-born author signed copies of her latest book at an event in the town.
Jeannette Vincent, who writes as J E Christer, took part in a get to know the author session at Barton Library.
Describing her latest work, she said: "It is a new book called Ellie and it is about a foundling child, left on a doorstep. It is the story of her growing up."
The book is set in the mid-nineteenth century and is the third of Ms Vincent's books to be set in Barton.

"I was born in Barton and grew up there partially.
"The first two that were set in Barton, Polly's Smalltown War and Polly's Homecoming, were based on my mother's experiences in the Second World war in some ways.
"I love the history of the town and at the moment, I am starting one on Anglo-Saxon Barton."
