BREAKING NEWS: Man charged with attempted murder

A 19-YEAR-old man has been arrested and charged with

attempted murder after a 15-year-old girl was seriously burned

in an assault.

Jake Alexander Johnson, of Colin Road, Grimsby, will appear

at Lincoln Magistrates Court this morning.

The 15-year-old girl, who has not yet been identified, was

involved in an altercation in a Ford Transit van parked near

Brandy Wharf.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: "Inquiries began and

established the girl had been involved in an altercation in a

Ford Transit van parked near Brandy Wharf, Waddingham

Lincolnshire."

The girl suffered serious burns to her face and upper

body.

She was initially taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital and

later to Newcastle General Hospital, where her condition is

'critical'.
