THE final designs of how two Scunthorpe secondary schools will look will be unveiled this week.

North Lincolnshire Council is inviting parents and pupils to attend two presentation evenings to see the design and ask questions.

Building work on two of the town schools will start in the summer holidays.

As previously reported, six schools will receive major refurbishment work as part of the project.

Melior Community College, on Chandos Road, will have a completely new building, costing about £15-million and Brumby Engineering College, Cemetery Road, will have a combination of significant rebuild and a revamp of the remaining part of the buildings.

Coun Tony Gosling, cabinet member for children's services at the council said: "These presentations are a really great chance for parents to find out more about the Building Schools for the Future project, and how it will impact on their child's education.
