HULL: Government officials have spoken in support of the Siemens investment in the city.

The importance of securing Siemens and creating jobs in Hull was championed at the Lib Dem conference in Brighton by energy secretary Ed Davey and business secretary Vince Cable.

Lib Dem Hull City Councillor Claire Thomas who is, planning to stand as an MP at the next election, highlighted to them both how crucial the investment is to Hull and the East Riding.
