Wasn't moaning sweetheart just making a relevant comment - I do drive to the conditions and I am well aware of the hazards that bus drivers/lorry drivers (actually married to one!) etc. have to face in this weather - I just feel that NLC could have done better!!”

I have been around town roads this morning and the roads are as you would expect them to be, it is impossible for NLC to completely remove every bit of snow / slush & ice from roads and pavements. Quite rightly they concentrate on main roads / hospital routs and approaches /bus routes and hills. Apart from town centre precinct on Saturday which was a disgrace (stupid NLC and lazy shop owners / staff) I think the council have done what we should reasonably expect of them. The roads need vehicles to work the sand & salt into the snow to make it melt quicker. People should just get on with it and dive in accordance to the conditions, how do some of you think your food gets to the shops during this weather? Some people have to dive large goods vehicles / busses / ambulances in these road conditions so stop moaning and just get on with it.”

“The roads in and around Scunthorpe (apart from Phoenix Parkway where NLC happen to be working!) are treacherous - the gritters have been out my derriere!!
Will now wait for comments about snow falling on top of salt etc. etc. etc. blah de blah de blah - NLC should be ashamed of themselves we all knew this last snowfall was coming!”
