BARNETBY United are now the Scunthorpe area's sole representatives in this season's Lincs Junior Cup.

The TSW Printers Scunthorpe Saturday League Premier Division club reached the quarter-finals on the back of a thrilling victory against Boston side Old League at the weekend.

Hill scored both of the hosts' first two goals, only for Old Leake to level on each occasion.

Further strikes from Popple, Jenkinson and Merrick put Barnetby 5-3 in front and they hung on to edge into the last eight after the visitors notched the game's ninth goal.

The other two TSW Printers League teams involved in the competition – Epworth Town and Scunthonians – both lost on their travels.

In domestic club competition, Keadby Club surprised Division Two opponents Barrow Wanderers.

They triumphed 7-1 to become the first team into the Johnstone Insurance Nursing Cup final.

Quickenden (2), Grimbleby and Johnson moved BBM to within one point of top spot in Division One with a 4-2 success against Limestone Rangers.

Crosby Colts missed the chance to take over as leaders when they shared six goals with struggling Crowle Town Colts – a contest in which all the scoring came before half-time.

Defending champions College Wanderers suffered their first loss of the campaign as a goal in each half from Barker earned Swinefleet Juniors an impressive away win.

A solitary strike from Warriner, in favour of the home side, was the only thing to separate Scunthonians Reserves and Briggensians well into the second period of their Division Two game.

Briggensians eventually levelled, but then faded allowing Scunthonians' earlier scorer Warriner to add two more to his personal tally and a brace from Johns wrapped up a one-sided scoreline.

Crosby Colts were also convincing winners, in Division Three, beating Harsco Metals 7-1 on the back of a confident opening in which six of their goals were scored before half-time.

Smith (4), Reed, Fleming and Richardson all notched for the league leaders.
