Big Square Bash brings crowds to town centre

A celebration of youth culture has attracted crowds to Scunthorpe town centre.

The free Big Square Bash event is being held in and around Church Square, with attractions including live music and various activities.

Organised by North Lincolnshire Council, the event is aimed at youngsters aged from eight to 18 and also features drumming and circus workshops, as well as a BMX course and a cave simulator.

Julie Poole, commissioning and partnerships manager at the council, said: "There has been a steady crowd all day and when the bands came on, it created more atmosphere.
