JEFF Cundy Blaggers joined the Flyers at the top of the Scunthorpe and District Snooker League premier division this week after beating them 4-1 at Brumby Hall.

Jeff Cundy took the opening frame against John Lawrence 114-8, helped by breaks of 48 and 31.

Mick Leach made it two after beating Tom Barley and Ian Glover secured the match when he knocked in breaks of 57 and 51 to beat Scott Ayres.

The home side came back with a win from Darren Cooper but the Blaggers took the final frame when Leach and Glover beat Lawrence and Barley.

Scunthorpe Cons Rocketeers secured a well deserved victory when they beat Fu Fighters 3-2 at Cons.

Paul Spriggs (33 break) took the opener when he beat Carl Harvey and Chris Leake made it 2-0 after a 68-22 win over Allan Green. Fu Fighters pulled one back when Craig Waddingham knocked in a 44 break to beat Matt Steeper, but the home side sealed the victory when Led Ashton beat Ash Ellis (30 break) 57-48 in frame four.

Waddingham and Ellis secured Fu Fighters' second frame of the night when they took the final frame against Leake and Spriggs.

Crowle B secured a 3-2 home win over Waddingham while Sherpa took the honours 4-1 against Rileys Crystals.

Mick Pottage knocked in a 38 break for Sherpa during his match-winning frame against the Crystals' Ian Hewitt.

Foxhills Beer Bellies reeled off three straight frames to secure victory against Cemetery Road Clan, while Scunthorpe Cons E walked away from Mill Road with a 4-1 victory.

Col Thompson opened the scoring for the home side but wins from Dave Palmer, Alf Sims and Graham Oades secured the win. Palmer and Oades added the doubles, 53-45.
