Blaze victims finally get new home
A COUPLE who lost their New Holland home to a devastating fire have finally put their nightmare behind them by moving into a new property.
Roy and Sue Elliott were victims of the blaze that gutted five terraced houses on Regent Terrace on January 18.

Roy Elliott is pictured outside his new Ulceby home, eight weeks after he and his wife Sue lost their New Holland home in a fire.
Since then, they have been living in a room at the George Hotel, in Barton-Upon-Humber.
Now, nearly two months on, they have been given the keys to a bungalow in Hallcroft, Ulceby, and are delighted to be able to get on with their lives.
Mr Elliott, 65, said: "We are 150 per cent happy.
"The bungalow is gorgeous.
"It still needs modernisation, rewiring, a new kitchen and bathroom but it is lovely and clean and we can move into it immediately.
"We are still alive and we are looking forward to a change of direction and we can't wait to get on with our lives again.
"Everything is looking very optimistic."
Mr Elliott said he and wife Sue, 67, had remained positive throughout the ordeal and expressed his gratitude for the support received from the community since the fire.
He said: "People have been utterly great to us.
"There has been so much kindness about and we can only speak highly of everybody.
"We are amazed by the amount of human kindness there has been."

“like it's their right to be given a free home....while we're at it, giving free homes away, why don't we re-wire it, give you a new kitchen and all the furniture that you want....”
