BOSS Ian Baraclough knows his re-shaped Scunthorpe United side must start finding some home comforts against Burnley tonight.

They are desperately looking to halt a run of six successive Championship defeats in front of their own fans in a live Sky television match which kicks off at 5.20pm.

Their last time on Sky, at the beginning of December, proved a nightmare as they crashed 3-0 at Millwall.

"It's probably the first time we have disappointed on live television for a good while," said Baraclough. "Hopefully that was a one-off.

"We need to put on a good show tonight in front of our own fans.

"We need to kick-start our season at home and get some confidence going."

Having won 2-0 at Turf Moor just after Christmas, the Iron are looking to complete their first double of the season.

"It was one of our most accomplished performances of the season," said Baraclough.

"We must take heart from that and learn from mistakes we have made in the last couple of weeks."

The United boss knows the Clarets are likely to get a lift from playing for the first time tonight since the arrival of their new manager Eddie Howe.

"When a new manager goes in, it gives them an extra step," he confessed.

“The last result against Burnley was a freak. Don't expect the same again! One point is the best we can realistically expect, but it won't be enough to keep us up.”

“Like the way he looked back to our previous visit to Derby County before we played them last year?

Failure to secure a couple of strikers will sink us today. Burnley were on a mission to topple Laws in the last game, now they have they will be a different prospect.”
