Bottesford police patrols in place throughout the Christmas period
CRIME in Bottesford remains low, according to a new Humberside Police report.
But Sergeant James Main, neighbourhood sergeant for Scunthorpe South, said even though calls for the service remain low the force has already put patrols in place across the Christmas period.

He said: "We would urge anyone that is experiencing anti-social behaviour to contact the police and the team will be on hand to assist with such issues.
"We do still take reports of incidents where vehicles have been stolen which have been left with the engine running on driveways to assist in defrosting the windows of the car.

"It really does only take seconds to steal such vehicles that are left unattended and in some cases insurance companies refuse to pay out claims in such incidents. Please do not fall victim to this crime."
The latest public surgery for Bottesford residents was held last Friday, December 14, at Teapot Hall, Messingham Road.

“Great news that crime in Bottesford remains low, perhaps the surgery in teapot hall could be cancelled and the officers diverted to Scunthorpe where there is street crime a plenty!”
