retail: A new bridal shop is giving traders a warm welcome.

A new addition to the cosmopolitan Princes Avenue – Bride & Co – is run by Gemma Gallant and her business partner Beth Gray.

The pair celebrated the launch with a champagne reception this weekend, welcoming traders from the Avenues area.

Bride & Co officially opened to the public yesterday.

Gemma said: "We really liked the atmosphere and the tight-knit community in the Avenues.

"We want to get involved and get to know the people we're going to be working with."

Gemma and her business partner Beth Gray are keeping their services local, with a seamstress based in Newland Avenue to customise dresses.

The pair are also offering bridesmaid parties, with champagne, hairdresser and make-up artist to get brides and bridesmaids kitted out.

The shop is replacing the popular Polly Anna boutique, which closed 18 months ago.
