retail: Drewton's Farm Shop has seen a 25 per cent increase in butchery sales since the horsemeat scandal hit the headlines.
The farm shop, near South Cave, has seen a surge in demand for meat from its in-house butcher department. All of the meat on offer at the popular farm shop is sourced from Yorkshire farms and is butchered in-house by John Lund, the head butcher, and his team.

Katie Taylor, pictured, who owns and runs Drewton's Farm Shop, said: "We're extremely proud of the fact that all of our meat comes from Yorkshire farmers and suppliers.
"I think that, in response to the shocking stories we're seeing in the news on a daily basis, people are seeking assurances about the origins of the meat they're buying. We've seen a 25 per cent increase in butchery sales since the horsemeat scandal hit the headlines."
