Brigg Town FC share the spoils at Market Drayton Town
Brigg Town FC gave a much improved performance on Saturday to draw 1-1 away to Market Drayton Town in Evo-Stik League Division One South.
Chas Fisher, Bruno Holden and Adam Lee were unavailable for selection by Brigg, but Greg Archer and Mark Dudley were back to strengthen the defence.
Brigg started confidently with an attack down the left wing, winning a corner kick, but this was punched clear from the goalmouth.
The home team responded with a free kick from Matt Johnson cleared for a right wing corner kick which resulted in a scramble on the goal-line before the ball was knocked up the pitch.

When the ball was returned to the edge of the penalty area, Craig Ryan curled a shot past the upright.
Brigg looked increasingly confident with their lead and played some neat inter-passing football and Stuart Preston was close to a second goal minutes from half-time when he struck a shot past the top angle of the goal.
The home team began the second half on the offensive winning a string of corner kicks but all of these were handled comfortably.
For Brigg, Liam Davis continued to be a threat and he had a good chance to double the lead but pulled his shot across the face of the goal.
Brigg held on to the lead for an hour but with the home team pushing further and further forward, the score was levelled fifteen minutes from full time.
The goal resulted from a throw-in deep into the Brigg half on the right wing.
KYLE BLAKE was given too much space to receive the ball at his feet before working his way into the penalty area and firing the ball past Miles Fenty.
Brigg's response was immediate and Liam Davis was left with a golden chance to win the game when he was left clear after a pass from Ryan Paczkowski found him on the left wing but he hurried his strike and fired the ball into the side netting.
Then a fierce drive from Ryan Paczkowski was blocked on the line by goalkeeper Connor Wearing's dive. And, in the final attack, Stuart Preston was ruled offside when on a clear run at goal.
Brigg Town: Fenty, Archer, Freeman, Davies, Hellewell, Dudley, Davis, Dickens, Paczkowski, Preston, Flett; subs: Buttle (90 mins), Walker (80) and Gee (46) for Preston, Davies and Freeman; Downey not used.
