Brigg community award winners announced

Brigg Town Council has announced the winners of its annual community awards.

The public voluntary service award goes to Antony Darker, of Poplar Drive - a member of the Brigg LIVES First Responders group, long-standing supporter of the Scouting movement and volunteer helper at the senior citizens's Pop-in Centre on Cary Lane.

The civic award goes to Bryom & Steel for the transformation of a derelict town centre building at 1-5 Springs Parade into an art gallery with workshops and an extensive refreshment area.

The presentations will take place at the Town Mayor’s Civic Charity Dinner on Saturday, March 23 at the Angel Suite, Brigg.
