PLANS to rebuild seven North Lincolnshire schools have escaped the spending axe, it was announced today.

Education Secretary Michael Gove said proposals for revamping 715 schools across England would be scrapped to help cut the national deficit.

But because rebuilding plans at seven local schools were so far advanced they will be allowed to continue.

Mr Gove said: "The Building Schools for the Future scheme has been responsible for about one third of this department's capital spending.

"But throughout its life it has been characterised by massive overspends, tragic delays, botched construction projects and needless bureaucracy."

Rebuilding work at St Lawrence Academy in Scunthorpe, Brumby, Foxhills, Frederick Gough, St Bede's and St Hughes will all go ahead.

“Judas with the wealth of expierence you have you will be aware of the tatic of leaking out a percentage figure of proposed cuts way above of the amount we are actually going to cut. It's the Phew method " Phew thank goodness it was'nt as bad as i thought . " So judas don't let the rest know its just for you and me to keep spreading the word for Mr Cameron.”

“Caring, after dragging myself out of poverty and until my regrettable relocation and exile here in Nth Lincs; I have been a lifelong dedicated Labour supporter and voter. I have been a public service union official and I remain an out of trades union member and a committed caring socialist of the Old Labour school.

However, having been exposed to the incompetence, resentments and prejudices of more than your fair share of parochial, devious and deceitful idiots, council officials and councillors on both sides of the political divide here in Nth Lincs; I have learnt that one is left to look after your own and their wider interests. Rather than leave it to the mercy and DETRIMENT of any politically self serving, hypocritical and devious dogma and 3rd rate community representation within Nth Lincs.

In all of that tirade, for the record, it is my experience and belief that the calibre and integrity of the local conservatives, puts them right at the top of the tree!”

“Judas i think like me you would like to thank the Conservatives in not only building these schools ,but also in dealing with the rising population and the impending pensions crisis. Very cleverly the the minister for health told Mr Oliver to butt out and if the kids want adeep fried Mras bar then so be it then theres Uncle Boris telling parents of 8/5 its ok to let your children bike to school through London ,oh and theres the massive problem of Knife attacks that are been comitted . sos come on Judas lets thank Mr C and HIS COALITION , for this three pronged attack . It won't work straight away but will pay dividens in the future.”

“What are NLC Labour group and SCLP now going to do with those ready prepared Lieboresque scripts, hyped up condemnations of all things coalition and their anticipated cuts?!

More to the point, what will Mick Grant be left with to blog about tomorrow and to propagandise his usual dogma?!

With this against the run announcement so soon after their election success, the Tories really do have the wind in their sails and clearly determined to regain control of NLC. Watch the panic now set in with local Labourites in the lead up to next May's local elections?!”
