UPDATED: Alan Knill 'flattered' to be linked with Iron, but is focused on job at Bury
ALAN Knill has today hinted he is not interested in the manager's job at Scunthorpe United.
At a press conference today, the 46-year-old told reporters he is still under contract at Bury and is fully focused on getting the second-placed Shakers out of League Two.

"I'm still here and I have a contract here for the next 15 months," the former Iron defender told radio station 107.4 Tower fm.
"If I'm going to be honest, we've got quite a big job here. We've got nine games to try to really achieve something.
"It's flattering, all the rumours and speculation, but it really is just a reflection of how well my players have done."
Earlier in the day, Bury moved to clarify Knill's future by saying the Shakers manager was 'going nowhere'.
They released a statement claiming he remains committed to the final nine games of the campaign at Gigg Lane.
"The club are aware of increasing speculation regarding Alan Knill and a vacant managerial position at another club," said the brief statement.
"The club wishes to state that currently we have nine games left of this season and are concentrating solely on securing promotion from League Two.
"With nine games remaining, we wish to categorically state that Alan Knill is going nowhere."
The Iron's board of directors met yesterday to discuss the managerial vacancy at Glanford Park.
Knill has always been fancied for the United jobs in the eyes of the
bookies, with his odds tumbling yesterday to evens with one firm,
Skybet.

“ut ofthe names suggested - I reckon Phil Parkinson is head and shoulders above the rest, based on what he did at Colchester mainly...Wilson sees popular but his record is terrible - he has been dining out on that months loan spell in 1983/4 for years!
ANYONE WILL DO BUT LAWS - THE BOARD WERE WRONG TO SHOE IN BARACLOUGH AND THEN WRONG NOT TO BACK HIM AND THEN WRONG AGAIN IN SACKING HIM IN SUCH A KNEEJERK FASHION.
UP THE IRON - SACK THE BOARD!”
