Brigg is to get a new place of refreshment next week - ideally placed for people visiting the new heritage centre, the re-located library or coming to shop in the town centre.

The Cafe Courtyard is having a taster day on Thursday, November 29, with its official opening the following day to tie in with the Brigg Christmas fair and the switching on of the town centre illuminations.

The cafe is in the Angel building, just off the Market Place.

It is a reminder of the glory days when the Angel was a hotel before being transformed into council offices - recently extended by the addition of the library and the heritage centre.

Back in the days of the hotel, the Angel courtyard was a favoured spot for people to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat.

Now the wheel has turned full circle...
