Cause of death revealed for man who died on Foxhills sports ground

Officials have concluded that the man who died at Foxhills sports ground in Scunthorpe died of head injuries.

An inquest into the death of Andrew James Matthews, 51, of Fairmont Crescent in Scunthorpe, was opened and adjourned this afternoon.

An official working for the coroner's office in Cleethorpes said Mr Matthews had died of head injuries.

The body will now be released to allow the funeral to go ahead.
