“[The tenet of the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce is to support local businesses, will Dr Kelly therefore explain why against the wishes of over 60 small businesses he sponsored the HullBid to benefit chain stores and Hull City Council? ]
IT APPEARS THAT IN THE THE ABSCENCE OF A RESPONSE FROM DR KELLY HE LACKS A CREDIBLE EXPLANATION”

“HLEP,Humberside Local Enterprise Park,Cosalt Wind Energy based in Girmsby and once one of the East coasts biggest employers, have struggled with funding, loan costs but have received no grants, retraining costs, apprentice school funding.! Offshore Group Newcastle and Shehards Offshore have received millions of pounds in grants, yet Cosalt of Grimsby have received nothing, and are having to pay arrangeement fees, interest charges, and are at present with shares suspended, over funding issues. The loser will be the regions unemployed, and local business suppliers,so why have Cosalt oil/gas/wind energy not been awarded grants, surely this puts the other company,s at a huge advantage, millions of pounds ahead, thus Cosalt are in fact "handicapped"Rather odd this,as David Ross is vice chairman of HLEP ! Could he be unaware of the grants available,as he is the chairman of Cosalt in Grimsby.??? whats going on ,HLEC, Humberside.Government funding 2 firms on Tyneside, and nothing for the highest unemployment blackspot in the UK ???Tennis score, disadvantage millions to Cosalt.???”

“The upkeep of a Local business provides employment to other local businesses, accountants, soliciters, maintenance engineers, etc. The sourcing of merchandise supports local wholesalers and farmers. Over 70% of the wealth generated by a local business benefits the local economy compared to less than 4% from national businesses and chain stores.
