The latest heat took place on Monday night held at Grange Park Golf Club.
There are now only three more chances to battle it out live and win the overall Pub Idol title.
Finalists will get the opportunity to perform at The Royal Hotel in Scunthorpe and win £500.
Media advisor at the Scunthorpe Telegraph, Sharon Cartlidge, is pleased with how well the competition is going so far.
She said: "We have had re-entries from people competing last year and duos have performed, which is a first for Pub Idol.
"I heard last year's winner has gone on to greater things within the music industry, so it a good first step to providing lasting effects."
The last four events have really heated up the competition, with renditions of The Man That Got Away by Judy Garland, Hurt by Christina Aguilera and As I Love You by Shirley Bassey.
This variety of vocal talent has already heard one finalist tipped to win the whole competition so far.
Two people from each heat go through to the final and it is not too late to enter.
Sharon said: "We urge more people to get involved.
"There is no limit on the amount of entries."
Both finalist and runner-up go through to perform at The Royal Hotel on September 13.
