Concern at plan for functions tent
Concerns have been raised about plans to hold up to 12 functions a year in a marquee at a Barnetby farm.
Barnetby parish councillors and residents united against the proposals at Rookery Farm, Railway Street.
The objectors cited highways issues, including access to the site and volume of traffic, noise effects from music and fireworks, as well as environmental impacts on the nearby horses and dogs.
Applicant Katie Burton, the applicant, allayed the fears of residents, stating the marquee would not be a permanent fixture and that any music would stop at midnight.
