Conor Sammon turns down Scunthorpe United move
KILMARNOCK striker Conor Sammon has this morning turned down a move to Scunthorpe United.
Iron general manager David Beeby told the Telegraph this lunchtime the player had rejected a potential £600,000 switch to Glanford Park after discussing the move with his family.

Conor Sammon is heading back to Kilmarnock.
Sammon, who has netted 16 goals this season, sent yesterday locked in talks with the Iron and manager Ian Baraclough had been hopeful of securing a deal for the player based on how they had gone.
But it is thought the club's position in the Championship relegation zone was a big factor in his decision to reject their advances, as well as relocation, and he is currently returning to Scotland, where he could play for Killie, against Hearts, in the SPL tonight.
"The player came down yesterday for talks and went away to think about things with his family overnight,” said Beeby.
“But he confirmed this morning that he was not sure it was the right move for him. Therefore he has gone back up to Scotland.
“We made the player a good offer and it is through the feeling that the move was not right for him rather than the financial terms that he has come to this decision.
“Unless the player has a change of mind, then I think that is the end of the road for us.
“But obviously we still have other targets that Ian Baraclough will now be pursuing.”

“I wouldn't bother rising to the pathetic and childish jibes of that pillock Daaiiive. He is clearly uneducated, (he probably lives in Gypsyville with all the other wasters).
Best thing is to completely ignore him, he'll get bored long before we do.”

“Kilmarnock playing hoofball, Sammon - 7 goals in two seasons. When Kilmarnock started playing passing football on the deck - 16 goals this season so far.
Can you imagine him doing the business with Bara's current policy? He would have been an absolute waste of money.”

“There is no doubt about it that we need a big lad up front as that may mean dagnall has someone to feed off but Scunny need to do it quick!!! It does need to be the right man and hopefully Bara knows what he is doing (remember the horse up front).
As for the comments from Dave in HULL, yes Hull do seem to have some money and can pay for better players, have a better ground and can look forward to a mid table finish, but one saving grace for all us Scunny fans is this DAVE - WE DON'T LIVE IN HULL THANK GOD!! have you seen the new sign on the bridge "WELCOME TO HULL - ENGLANDS DOLE OFFICE".”

“I'll answer your question Dave.
Which good players want to play for Scunny? (notice the correct grammar)
Answer; every single one you have signed, if we were to pay them, like you, the 4 times (plus) the amount of wages they were on at their previous club.
And yes Dave, well done, we all know Hull have money and can afford to pay the wages, and yes we all know no one wants to invest in Scunny. Talk about coming on here and everytime stating the obvious, and going over and over again the same comments.”
