Counterfeit tenners reported in Brigg - watch out for duds across Scunthorpe area in run up to Christmas
Reports suggest some forged £10 notes were accepted by a shop in Brigg prior to the weekend.
Two were examined by staff and they looked slightly paler and felt different to proper banknotes.

Humberside police have been made aware.
They have issued several warnings in recent weeks about counterfeit £20 notes being offered at various business premises in Scunthorpe and district during the run up to Christmas.

At last night's December meeting of Brigg Town Council in the Angel Suite, the Town Mayor, Councillor Carl Sherwood, relayed information about counterfeit notes to his colleagues.
