CHRISTMAS will light up the faces of the people of Crowle in an illuminating event in the town.

The festive spirit is sparkling into life as organisers prepare to switch the town's lights on.

And Epworth is also gearing up for its own light-up – as North Lincolnshire gets in the Yuletide mood.

Families will be able to enjoy an assortment of events at the Crowle lights event will be kicked off by one lucky person.

The winner of a poster competition held in the town will switch on the town's Christmas lights.

The celebrations will begin at 4.30pm on Saturday, December 1 in the Market Place, with Father Christmas on hand to provide a festive feel at around 4.45pm.

The lights service will begin at 6pm.

Also on offer is a Santa's grotto, a free treat for every child, festive stalls and a fun fair.

Epworth will switch on its Christmas lights alongside the Christmas market at St Andrew's Parish Church.

The switch-on date for the town is set for Friday, December 7 at 6.30pm.
