Crowle rider, 94, critically ill in Scunthorpe General Hospital after road collision in Isle of Axholme
The man injured in yesterday afternoon's road traffic collision in Crowle was a 94-year-old from the Isle of Axholme town who is now in a critical condition in Scunthorpe General Hospital, police disclosed today (Wednesday Nov 7).
Police say the elderly Crowle resident suffered serious head injuries after being involved in a collision with a car at the junction of Godnow Road and High Street shortly after 3pm on Tuesday.

He was riding a silver-coloured electrically-assisted pedal cycle when the collision occurred with a red coloured Seat Ibiza which was being driven by a 29-year-old Crowle man.
The car driver was uninjured.

The cyclist was taken to Scunthorpe hospital by ambulance and is described as being in a critically ill condition.
The road was closed until 7pm last night to allow police to examine the scene and to "recover the vehicles."
