Iain Bland, PDS's managing director, said: "This is a great contract win for us and gives us a fantastic start to 2013.

"We've worked closely with other retail outlets across the past few years, such as JD Sports where we provide a 24-hour emergency call-out service, but we still had to tender for this against major national competitors."

As part of the deal, more than 15 PDS engineers will be carrying out installations in the stores across a five-week period.

Mr Bland said: "Roll-out projects are a speciality of ours and I believe this is down to our project management experience and the extremely high-calibre of the engineers we employ."

PDS provides its services across Yorkshire and as far afield as Europe and Asia.

Established in Hull, in the next few weeks PDS will be opening a new regional office in Watford to cover the south of England.

Mr Bland said: "As we move into 2013 we are sure for a great success and we will be expanding our operations as well.

"Hull will always be our home and after having worked on such prestigious projects as the Building Schools for the Future programme, the Citycare project and, more recently, Humberside Police's head- quarters in Clough Road, we will continue to work in the city.

"But we have seen real opportunities for expansion and everyone is looking forward to the growth we are looking to achieve in the coming months."

PDS specialises in install- ing structured network and data cabling solutions.

It also provides services to install new public address systems, CCTV, door access and audio visual solutions for a broad range of applications.
