Detectives hunt Spar armed robber
DETECTIVES are hunting for an armed robber who struck at a Barton-Upon-Humber shop early this morning.
The raid, at the Spar shop on Waterside Road, took place shortly after 7am.
The offender, who was wearing light-coloured trousers, demanded cash and cigarettes from a female assistant.
He then fled the store with what police describe as 'a substantial amount' of money.
Police believe the robber was loitering outside the shop for up to 20 minutes before committing the crime.
They have asked anyone who spotted a male in the area of the shop and nearby bus and rail stations to contact them on: 0845 6060222, quoting log: 145 of March 13.

“Also notice how quiet it is at the weekends on this site, surely its not because the council office staff and the Corus office staff aren't at work.”

“I notice that Wayne Kerr of Barton has been very quiet recently. A paedophile jailed last week and now an armed robbery, not quite the paradise you've been making out is it Wayne?”
