Discovery of woman's body in Scunthorpe house inquiry - update
The discovery of a woman’s body at a property in Scunthorpe is not being treated as suspicious by police.
They were called at about 10.45am on Monday (August 20) following the discovery of a body at an address on Ashbourne Court.

Forensic teams were at the address yesterday and a police cordon was placed around the scene for a time.
A Humberside Police spokeswoman said: “An investigation has been carried out to establish how the woman died and a scene was initially established in order for our initial inquiries to take place.

“A post-mortem took place late on Monday, August 20 which revealed nothing to suggest that the death was suspicious and as such a file is being prepared for the coroner’s office.”
It is believed the woman was middle-aged.
