Disgusting smoking policy operates near Scunthorpe General Hospital
AFTER having to visit my father-in-law over the last 10 days in Scunthorpe Hospital I am absolutely disgusted with its smoking policy.
It clearly states smoking is not allowed in the hospital grounds, so why do you have to walk through a giant ashtray to get in the entrance on Church Lane. The floor is covered with old butts, the bins are overflowing and the smell of second hand smoke is all inside the foyer even into the lifts.

Further more in the light of all the MRSA, why are patients allowed in their pyjamas and slippers to stand outside smoking, then take all the germs back onto the wards? - Julian Cross, Richmond Drive, Bottesford
