Dog trapped under ambulance in Scunthorpe freed by firefighters

It became trapped under the axle of an ambulance, but Humberside Fire and Rescue Service came to the animal's aid in Wawick Road.

Humberside Police said they were called to the scene at 9.11pm because of a report a patient transport ambulance had been in collision with a dog.
The vehicle could not be moved because the dog was trapped beneath it.
It was freed at 9.53pm and is understood to have been seen by a vet.
Warwick Road was closed to traffic during the incident.

“Any news of the patient in the ambulance? Will the owner of the dog be prosecuted for allowing a dog to be in a public place without a lead. Does the dog owners insurance cover the costs of the fire service and vetenary fees? Just asking!!”
