Drive to make fast food even faster for Scunthorpe customers of McDonald's
Fast food could be served up even faster at an outlet of McDonald's on the outskirts of Scunthorpe - cutting waiting time for hungry customers.
Alterations are planned to the drive through part of the restaurant on the Gallagher Leisure Park, off Doncaster Road, Gunness.

Permission is being sought to reconfigure the car park and drive through lane.
The aim is to introduce "side-by-side ordering" at the rear of the restaurant.

This will provide an additional order point in the drive through lane for customers buying meals.
The intention is to "streamline and formalise the ordering process during peak trading times without the need to have members of staff outside of the building."
This will assist in reducing the length of potential queues by increasing the speed of preparing the orders and also reduce congestion within the site during busy periods.
At the same time as seeking planning permission, McDonald's is asking North Lincolnshire Council for advertisement consent to replace various signs.
The council is welcoming comments from members of the public up to March 7, with a decision unlikely to be made before mid-April.
