Drivers warned to heed special ice signs on A15 between Barton and Barnetby
DRIVERS are being urged to take notice of ice warning signs during the winter.
The ice warning signs use sensors on the road to activate during cold weather in order to tell motorists there could be a risk of ice on the roads
One of the ice signs in North Lincolnshire is situated on the A15 between Barnetby Top and the Humber Bridge at Barton.
Roy Hindmarsh, road safety audit and partnership officer for North Lincolnshire Council, said the ice signs alert drivers to slow down.
And he said people should be wary of relying on the thermometers in their car.
"There is a massive difference between the temperature in your car and the right temperature," he said.
