Drunken Scunthorpe reveller 'old enough to know better'
A REVELLER was fined for acting drunk and disorderly in public.
Darren Phillips, 27, of Warley Road, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to acting drunk and disorderly on Frodingham Road in the town, on February 24.

Nick Wyman, prosecuting, said: "In the early hours of the morning, he came to the attention of police. He was noted to be unsteady and his speech was slurred. In the opinion of the officers, he was drunk, loud, unco-operative and abusive."
Speaking in his defence, Phillips said: "I was drunk".

Magistrate John Robinson said: "You are old enough to know better."
Phillips was fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 Government surcharge.
