Duncan Heath passes 500 runs for Appleby-Frodingham Cricket Club
The weather contributed to a frustrating weekend for App-Frod in Yorkshire League action.
No play was possible at Brumby Hall on Saturday, when Rotherham were the visitors.

Then, two days later, a good finish seemed on the cards – with the Steelmen needing 94 off 25 overs – when rain stopped play in their home match against Scarborough.
The visitors rattled up 50 in seven overs, but three wickets fell in eight overs for 17 runs, before opener Andy Simpson and Kunwal Bansil put on 163 in 32 overs for the fourth wicket.

Simpson finished on 115 not out, which included one six and an impressive 11 fours, to top score while the latter managed one six and seven fours in his 67 to see Scarborough to 232-4.
Duncan Heath and Kieran Watson both managed a brace of wickets apiece.
In reply, Frod made 139-3 in 30 overs.
Duncan Heath led the way with 48, a tally which included six fours in 54 balls, and Tony Manning finished on 41 not out as Ashley Lyth took two wickets for Scarborough before the rain took over to end the game.
Three points were subsequently awarded to each team, though there was, at least, a personal milestone for one of the Frod squad.
Heath's haul took him up to 500 runs for the season, while overseas player Tony Manning has reached a superb 688 with an average of 49.
This Saturday, the Steelmen face a tough trip to face Harrogate, who sit second in the table.
