Employment opportunities as firm celebrates city anniversary

employment: A trans- lation and interpreting business is poised to mark the first anniversary of its arrival in Hull.

AA Global Language Services Ltd aims to provide work opportunities for at least 100 additional translators, interpreters and support staff, starting with a multi-lingual recruitment fair.

Kirk Akdemir, chief executive of the company, said most of the roles will be freelance, with workload dependent on demand for particular languages.

The company provides translation and interpreting services to the public and private sectors and can call upon the services of more than 4,500 qualified and experienced linguists who cover more than 250 languages.

AA Global's second UK office opened at Hull Marina last March.

Mr Akdemir said: "The main focus will be on jobs in translating and interpreting, but we are also looking for admin and business development staff to support our Hull office."

The event will take place on Saturday, from 10am to noon, in the Prince Of Wales Suite at the Mercure Hull Royal Hotel in the city centre.
